Getting Crafty in Dundrum
Wednesday 22nd November – 2pm – 4pm

Come and visit the craft rooms and see how to print and embroider on fabric,  Learn to applique and draw. See the magic of the sewing machine and how to make a bag in 5 minutes.

Health, Leisure and Wellbeing

Exploring careers in Health and Leisure, Physiotherapy, Wellbeing and Nursing

Techathon Thursday
Thursday 23rd November – 2.30pm – 4.30pm

Exploring innovative and exciting new technologies and their application in modern life. You will experience:

  • Visiting Machu Picchu using Virtual Reality
  • Robotic Interaction
  • Cybercrime and hacking the world
  • Inventing Apps for Smartphones
  • Board the Apollo craft and take a trip to the moon
  • Enter a human brain with “In Mind”

Further Education – Progression and Employment Opportunities
Thursday 23rd November – 1.30pm – 3pm

This session will look at options open to QQI students who wish to progress to degree programmes next year in the Universities and Institutes of Technologies. It will also focus on pathways to employment.

  • We will focus on how the CAO system works for QQI award holders
  • We will discuss the application process for Mature Students (i.e. students who will be over 23 years of age on 1st January next year) who wish to progress to degree programmes.
  • Employment opportunities through qualifications and certification.
