Applying To College: A Workshop for Mature Students
Monday 20th November 2.30pm – 4.00pm

Are you over 23 and thinking of going back to college? Maybe now is the time to explore your options. Caroline Duffy, Adult Guidance Counsellor will be joined by guest speaker Colm Downes, Access Officer at Tallaght Institute of Technology for a workshop aimed at adults over 23 years who are thinking about applying for third level.

See what is happening right now in the Beauty Therapy L5 course. The students could be developing their manicure skills on their models or practicing their waxing techniques on their victims…..ouch!

Watch the students in our Healthcare Service Skills L5 group participate in practical Manual Handling and First Responder training……always good to know!

Thursday 23rd November @ 11:30am

See what students in the Early Childhood Care and Education group are doing right now. Students will be interacting using their iPads and the app “Popplet” for a brainstorming session…this will be interesting!

Friday 24th November @10:00am

Join the Business Administration L5 group during their Payroll class. They are using iPads and the app “Kahoot” to take a quiz on Payroll Terminology a lot more fun!

Literacy Awareness Class Visits – all week

Fiona Kavanagh, Adult Literacy Organiser, will visit classes to raise awareness of the literacy supports available to all our students.

Self Care when Studying – all week

Beti Marinescu, guidance counsellor in Balbriggan, will be visiting classes to demonstrate techniques to help manage the challenges while studying, including mindfulness meditation and breathing techniques.
